Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT)
SBIRT is a comprehensive, integrated public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders, as well as those who are at risk of developing these disorders. Through a brief, patient-centered conversation, SBIRT helps make every encounter an opportunity to change the trajectory of substance use.
This introductory 3-hour workshop will review the basic elements of an SBIRT intervention.
